"I’ve been teaching for over 10 years, but recently, I feel disconnected from my students. They seem uninterested, and it’s hard to stay motivated. What should I do?"

Response from Askly Help:

Dear David,

It’s perfectly normal to feel this way, especially after many years of giving so much of yourself.

  1. Reconnect with your passion – Why did you start teaching? Sometimes, revisiting your roots can reignite that spark.
  2. Understand the students’ world – Try to engage with them outside the classroom. It can help rebuild a meaningful connection.
  3. Be kind to yourself – Burnout is real, and it’s okay to need a break. Take care of your own well-being, too.

You’re doing important work, David. Keep your heart in it, and things will shift.

With warmth,
Askly Help
