I am very disappointed. I can't concentrate on my studies.

Problem:
I am very frustrated. I can't concentrate on my studies. I haven't understood why I have become so lazy for a long time. Sometimes I feel like I have completely lost my mind when it comes to thinking about my future. I don't know how to get back to studying with the same focus as before. I lack motivation, and I can't seem to get myself on the right track. Do you have any advice?

Your problem is very familiar and real for any student. Studying, especially student life, can be challenging. However, there is no need to despair. Such situations come to all of us in life, and there is a way out of it.

First of all, it is completely unnecessary to feel guilty. Just because you are depressed does not mean that you cannot do anything. Sometimes, there are many small reasons behind our loss of focus, which we often easily ignore. For example, unhealthy lifestyle, irregular schedule, and not getting enough rest.

My advice would be, start working on small goals first. Set aside a specific time for your studies and focus only on studying during that time. Again, if the home environment is distracting you, study in the library or some other quiet place. When you achieve small goals, their success will propel you towards bigger goals.

Next, keep yourself motivated about something. Maybe the subject you were interested in has cooled down a bit. But you can rekindle it. Understand that studying is not just about learning, but also a powerful tool on the path to achieving your future goals. Small goals and achievements every day will boost your confidence.

Also, you can make some changes in your daily routine. Regular yoga or light exercise can bring vitality to your body and mind. Physical fitness is also good for your mental health.

Finally, remember not to put too much pressure on yourself. Along with studies, social life, family and friends are also important. Take some time to rejuvenate yourself, and be ready to start fresh.

Take the bold initiative to take the first step towards that goal. I know you can. Whenever you feel like you are losing yourself, you will have to come back on that path. The process you are going through is not at all unusual—it is a natural process, and you will definitely achieve your goal.
