By Askly Help

Dear Adnan,

Reading your situation, I can deeply feel how much you are suffering. You are not alone—many other expats like you are suffering from this loneliness and stress. But I want to assure you that even in the midst of this suffering, you can find peace and positivity for yourself.

1. Understand and accept your loneliness

First of all, you need to understand that loneliness is not a weakness. It is just a feeling that you can gradually deal with. Many times we view being alone in a negative light, but alone time can be used to increase our mental strength.

2. Maintain contact with family and loved ones

Your family may not understand how much you are struggling because they only see you as a breadwinner. However, if you talk to them openly, they will understand your emotional state.

  • Talk to your family at least once a day.
  • See their face on the video call, this will reduce the emotional distance.
  • Don't hide your feelings. Let your family know that you also want love and emotional support.

3. Make new friends and social connections

Making new friends abroad may seem difficult, but it's not impossible.

  • Build friendly relationships with your colleagues.
  • Go to the mosque, you will find many people there who are in the same situation as you.
  • Join a community group or sports club, where you can have some good time.

4. Take care of yourself.

The best way to overcome loneliness is to focus on yourself.

  • Exercise for a while every day, it will not only increase physical strength, but also reduce mental stress.
  • Try learning something new, such as taking an online course, learning a new language, or reading a book.
  • Eat good food and ensure adequate sleep.

5. Keep your mind busy and create new habits

If you just get lost in your thoughts during your free time, loneliness will only deepen. So keep yourself busy.

  • Spend some time outside of your daily routine doing something that brings you joy.
  • You can read books on Islamic education or self-improvement.
  • If necessary, write in a diary, it will relieve some of the stress.

6. Remember the purpose of life.

Why are you enduring this pain? Because you want to give your family a better future. This sacrifice will one day bring blessings to you.

  • Remind yourself that you are going through a difficult time, but it won't last forever.
  • Be patient and believe in yourself.

7. Never be ashamed to ask for help.

If you ever feel too alone and depressed, don't hesitate to reach out for help. Find a friend, colleague, or someone you can confide in.

Adnan, your life is difficult right now, but these difficult times will one day make you stronger. You are not alone—the love of your family, your dreams, and your inner strength will carry you forward.

Best wishes to you. You can always ask for my help.

Love and respect,
